I purchased Affiliate Project X after I cleared up my #1 question about it…is it the same as AdWords Miracle (the authors previous eBook)? I didn’t want to buy some rehashed information…especially from a marketer I haven’t heard about. I noticed that the template and graphics were very similar. I was skeptical since the sales letter didn’t provide the name of the author. So I submitted an email to the support desk to find out what the difference was. After the author, Chris Mcneeney, emailed me back, I took his word for it that it wasn’t a rehashed product. My assumption was correct.

I received a huge load of emails from marketers promoting Affiliate Project X. Since some were from trusted resources, I felt that it would be a good product to check out and review. Besides that, I must admit that Chris did a great job on the sales page. The graphics, the colors, and the copy really reeled me in.

My Google AdWords Story

When I first started using pay-per-click advertising, it was Chris Carpenters’ Google Cash that got me started. The whole plan was to sign up for the Clickbank affiliate network and send traffic directly to your affiliate links. That was all fine and dandy until Google changed their system. From then on, it was tough for affiliates to use this system and we had to start making landing pages.

So after listening to an Interview of Jonathan Mizel and Perry Marshall, I started to implement landing pages for conversions and for opt-ins (using Mizel’s ie on squeeze pages). I still didn’t make so much on Google AdWords.

So then, I decided to purchase Perry’s book, The Definitive Guide to Google Adwords. It was the ultimate guide…for using AdWords. It went into how to set up campaigns correctly, how to use your keyword lists effectively, how to make extremely short copy work for you…and more. However, when it came to on-page factors, there was something lacking. I was able to send people to my landing pages without spending too much money, but my conversions weren’t that great. I did split testing and I did increase it somewhat…but it wasn’t anything to shout out about.

So fast forward a few years and here I am after reading Affiliate Project X. Since getting Perry’s book, I’ve done a lot of testing and tracking. In other words, I pretty much had to create part of the wheel and go through a lot of mistakes. I’m happy that I learned from them, but I wish it was an easier and less-costly experience. A lot of those mistakes could have been solved with Project X.

Out of these 6 strategies, there were a few that stood out and they have been proven to work. Now this isn’t just hype or from the sales letter. Well, if you’ve read a lot of online marketing books and have been through a lot of the material on the forums, some of the material will not be new to you.

The most important tip for me in Affiliate Project X was how to pick out the right product. This tip alone was worth the price of the ebook. This might seem obvious, but it really isn’t. When I first started with Clickbank, I knew that the most popular products would be tough to promote because of all the competition. I would check out the gravity and popularity rankings of the products to figure this out. Due to not knowing this strategy from the start, I wasted several hundreds of dollars on AdWords - money that I could have kept if I knew the right strategies for picking and promoting products.

Since promoting Clickbank products, there has been several campaigns that have been churning great income month after month. At first, I thought I was just lucky. I knew that I ran into what I have now from the experiences I have had. In Affiliate Project X, Chris pretty much tells you the exact steps you need to do to pick out the winners. From comparing my campaigns to his approach, they’re pretty much in line. Now I have a blueprint that will avoid a lot of time wasting - and avoid wasting money on AdWords as well.
