In the past, I’ve seen plenty of Clickbank products that I wanted to promote. There were some good reviews on it, but when I stumbled onto the sales page - I wasn’t sure how I could even buy it myself. Some sales pages had bad graphics or bad sales copy. I don’t consider myself a sales copy expert yet, but I think many people would feel the same way.
For a Clickbank product to be successful, there are 2 main parts: a great sales page, and tons of targeted traffic.
In Affiliate Sales Letters, Dr. Mike Woo-Ming and Eric Louviere have created something to solve this problem.
In this product, you’ll receive up to 7 niche product sales letters, a 5 part autoresponder series for each one, and a huge keyword lists for each niche.
The Sales Letters
If somebody I’ve never heard of teamed up with Dr. Mike to write the sales letters, I probably would have never bought this product. Eric has been a great contributor to the Warriors Forum and he’s built up enough credibility in my eyes. When it comes to writing sales copy, Eric definately knows his stuff.
All of the sale letters have been carefully crafted. As I mentioned earlier, one of the major factors for a Clickbank product is it’s sales letter. Now, if you’re a believer of short copy, I think they’re as effective as well if you’re only trying to get an opt-in. However, if you want to be assured that you have a top sales letter for the product - you’ve hit the jackpot with Affiliate Sales Letters.
The Autoresponder Series
With this series, it’s pretty much 1 direct sales piece after another one. When I do offline marketing, I offer a free report to presell a product or service. This autoresponder series is different. I doesn’t offer much useful information, but uses psychology to make sales from the emails.
As an affiliate, this is a new approach for me. It’s like I’m treating the affiliate product as if it was my own product. Using this whole approach reminds me of Marlon Sanders methodology. Marlon is all about sales and doesn’t fuss with content sites. He uses long sales letters and he’s been very successful at it.
Since I’ll be using Clickbank direct order links, it will be a new adventure for me in promoting affiliate programs in a direct sales manner.
The Keyword Lists
The keyword lists in this package show the demand (not sure from where), but do not show competition. I was hoping that the keyword lists would have the competition shown so I could take the lazy approach and not spend the time to create my own keyword lists.
So if you’re planning to use them for search engine optimization, you would be better off using your own themed keyword lists. Even if you produce a site that only contains the sales letter, keywords will be very useful for offsite promotions.
If you’re going to use them for pay-per-click, plan on going against a bunch of other people. Affiliate Sales Letters limits the amount of buyers to 750 people. Although not all of them will be going to AdWords, expect some competition.
So to generate traffic, I will be using a variety of marketing strategies. Some of them include using social bookmarking, RSS feeds, article marketing, forum posts, PPC (which includes keywords that aren’t on the provided lists), and other Web 2.0 strategies.
Conclusion
This product is the the first one that I’ve reviewed that teaches how to promote a product as if it was your own. All of the other affiliate strategies I’ve learned have used preselling. With Affiliate Sales Letter, you’ll be direct selling from your own website by using the excellent sales copy that’s provided. I’ve heard about affiliates doing this before, but using this strategy is new for me.
For people new to niche marketing, you’ll have up to 7 niches that you can start from and a system to easily get started. The main requirement is having your own autoresponder and building traffic to the sites.
If you are an experienced affiliate marketer doing the transition from affiliate products to your own product, this will help in getting you into a different mindset that is needed for successfully selling your product. Seeing how all of the sales letters are crafted will give you great insight on how to make your own product sites.
When I rated this product, I gave it an 8 mostly because of the keyword lists. I totally believe that websites created from Affiliate Sales Letters will be great income producers if you spend the time needed to build traffic to them.
